1. Histology:
- benign tumor consists of bundles of smooth muscle cells extending in different directions; tumor cells are monomorphic, without signs of cellular atypism; mitosis patterns are rare;
- stroma is unevenly developed, there are large fields of coarse-fibrous connective tissue of dark green color (areas of sclerosis) in the fibromyoma.
2. Anatomy: -
cervix is deformed due to the growth of the tumor,
- tumor has the appearance of a dense node or nodes (blue star), gray in color, fibrous structure, homogeneous on the incision, and there is often a pseudocapsule around the node.
