1. Histology:
- endometrial glands are located separately, their lumen is narrow, the epithelium is multi-rowed with a large number of mitotic shapes; there are cystic-dilated glands that give the micro-picture the appearance of "Swiss cheese";
- stroma is compact, represented by dark, small cells with the shapes of mitoses; spiral arteries are not developed.
2. Anatomy: mucous membrane of the endometrium is sharply thickened, bright red, loose.
3. Clinical manifestations: dysfunctional uterine bleeding (metroragia) is noted.
